A beautiful, walkable city
Cartagena is incredible for just walking around and getting lost. The colors of the buildings inside the Walled City are amazing, with flowers on every balcony. So much history but it feels so alive. It's a place that really wakes up your senses.
Perfect island getaway
The boat trips to the Rosario Islands are a must. The water is so clear and warm, it was the perfect escape from the city hustle. Great for snorkeling and just laying on the beach. Such a relaxing part of our family vacation.

Great nights out
The nights are so much fun here! The Getsemaní neighborhood has such a cool street art scene and loads of small bars with live music. It felt safe to walk around and explore. Perfect for a fun trip with friends. The street food is great, too.
Lovely and relaxing
We enjoyed the slower pace of life here. The people are warm and welcoming. Found a little spot for a fresh arepa de huevo in the morning and it was delicious. It's a lovely place to just sit at a plaza cafe and watch the world go by.

So many beautiful things to see and buy. The little shops in Las Bóvedas are full of colorful crafts and souvenirs. Every corner seems like a perfect photo opportunity with the bright walls and colonial doors. A really photogenic city break.
